Washington, DC (February 9, 2009) – Producer BJ Davis of Fleur De Lis Film Studios attended the 67th Annual Washington Auto Show, reporting on environmental issues for the company’s new TV series, “Being Green”.
The Washington Auto Show is an impressive automotive showcase, featuring innovative designs, advanced fuel-efficient technology and conservation from more than 42 domestic and international auto manufacturers. The show was attended by prominent elected officials, auto buyers and dealers and celebrity guests, providing an insight into the latest advances in earth-friendly driving and interactive entertainment for all ages, including such popular cartoon characters as “Dora The Explorer”.
President Barack Obama’s administration is actively moving forward with their eco-green policy that is being adapted for residential, commercial and the automobile industry. Film and television producers, environmentalists BJ Davis and Julia Davis of Fleur De Lis Film Studios are taking the driver’s seat by developing television series about environmental issues. The new series covers all aspects of going green, from your home and family vehicle to Wall Street high-rises, while providing information about available state and federal tax incentives.
The Discovery Channel and the TV Network Planet Green also promote ecological issues and provide innovative programming, such as the TV series “Greensburg”, produced by Academy Award nominee Leonardo DiCaprio. Federal and state agencies are providing new tax incentives and revenues for Americans, changing the world one household at a time.
The Washington Auto Show provided a unique insight into the future, captured for the TV series “Being Green”, as auto industry giants tabled issues and exchanged ideas to create and sustain energy-conscious green cars. Philosophies flared and engines revved at The Green Car Summit on Capitol Hill. Ford and Chevrolet attended the convention with their own mixed versions of green cars, such as the Chevy Bolt. Toyota showcased the electric Prius. Numerous auto associations, dealerships and companies participated in the Auto Show, including Mazda, General Motors, Chrysler, Mercedes-Benz and BMW.
President of Fleur De Lis Film Studios BJ Davis filmed former Secretary of State, General Colin Powell, who attended this year’s festivities, trying out a new state-of-the-art 2010 Fisker Karma automobile and Cadillac's new electric coupe. Producer/BJ Davis, Screenwriter Julia Davis and film legend Burt Reynolds previously met with General Colin Powell during the filming of the company’s TV Series “Medal of Honor”, hosted by the Academy Award nominee.
“Being Green” will lead the way to educate the audiences about the latest advances in earth-friendly green technology, encouraging consciousness of how our everyday choices impact the planet. “Being Green” will inform and entertain the viewers, empowering them to save the environment for future generations.
